Newport Cross Dining Chair, Black Drifted Oak
A chair made of exclusive, solid American oak in the colour Black Drifted Oak, with a seat made of traditionally woven, natural-coloured rattan. Inspired by the incredibly popular café chair that can be seen in all of Europe’s most beautiful cities, this eminently practical dining chair has a crossed back made of exclusive, solid oak. Also available in Burnt Oak, Brown Drifted Oak, White Drifted Oak and Rich Brown Drifted Oak. The chairs have been created as a tribute to the Bentwood tradition started by Thonet in early 20th-century Austria. Bentwood objects are made by either soaking or steaming the wood, which is then bent and allowed to harden into curved shapes and patterns.

Care instructions
Wood is sensitive to sunlight, causing the wood to fade or darken. For this reason, try to make sure that the entire wood surface is exposed to the same amount of sunlight. It is always important to follow the care instructions for each particular piece of furniture. In general, you should never use a strong cleaning product, such as on that contains citric acid, on your furniture. Those types of products could damage the surface layer of your furniture. A mild detergent or soap is typically all you need for cleaning. Keep in mind that surfaces are sensitive to strong detergents. Remember too to put a coaster or cloth under glasses, cups, vases and similar items. Wooden furniture should be treated with plain furniture wax to protect it from stains. Wax acts as a protective barrier, preventing liquids and dirt from penetrating the surface. The product is ideal for wood, stone and other absorbent materials that need to be protected.
