A homey pub in the heart of downtown Åre, just a stone’s throw from the town square. Fjällpuben’s snug and cosy ambiance and delicious menu leaves nothing to chance. As the White Guide wrote in 2014: “This is a real mood-lifter, just as well suited for gearing up for a night on the town as it is for unwinding after a long day on the slopes. Sweatshirts brush elbows with silk blouses, and one really feels at home here.”
Getting there
Åre is located 610 kilometres from Stockholm and 108 kilometres from Malmö. Many visitors take the train to Åre, as the station is conveniently located in the centre of town. If you prefer to fly, you can take a plane from Arlanda to Åre Östersund Airport. In the winter months, a transfer simplifies the journey from the airport to central Åre, about 80 kilometres away. If you prefer to fly to Trondheim Airport in Værnes (in Norway), the distance to Åre will be about 130 kilometres.
