    Getting there

    Åre is located 610 kilometres from Stockholm and 108 kilometres from Malmö. Many visitors take the train to Åre, as the station is conveniently located in the centre of town. If you prefer to fly, you can take a plane from Arlanda to Åre Östersund Airport. In the winter months, a transfer simplifies the journey from the airport to central Åre, about 80 kilometres away. If you prefer to fly to Trondheim Airport in Værnes (in Norway), the distance to Åre will be about 130 kilometres.
